Kicking My Dermatillomania: Lots of contemplating. Getting to the root of things, done with tricks that never have a lasting effect.
I think my strongest trigger is the physical feeling of either a rough/bumpy/peeling scab, or even worse, the uncomfortable pressure of a pimple.
Because once I feel it, I have to get the release. And once I get that release, I scour for more.
Seeing my face in the mirror or my bare arms and…
there are tears in my eyes, holy shit, i never read anything that i so completely identified with before with regards to my skin
the sheer fucking emotion that just caught my breath and swelled in my throat was so immense, the way you talk about your habits forming at 7/8…

really really truly
my habits are not entirely the same as yours but they come from the same kind of place, and just knowing that i’m not alone in some way means so much to me right now
